Volunteer Screening (Muskrat Minor Hockey)

VOLUNTEER SCREENING

All Muskrat Minor Hockey volunteers must submit a recent (dated within the past THREE years, as per HEO Policy) Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) from their local police department (OPP or town police, if applicable) before we can accept them as a volunteer within our organization.

Volunteers requiring a VSC include prospective Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Trainers, Team Managers, Parent Supervisors in changerooms, and MMHA Executive Members.  For most of our volunteers, that would be from the Ontario Provincial Police, if you live in an OPP-policed community such as the Township of Whitewater Region.

The O.P.P. now have an online process for submitting an application for a VSS:

Ontario Provincial Police  - Police Record Checks

As part of the above online process, they also require a letter from the organization you will be volunteering with, in order to waive their fee.  Please download the letter below and fill in your name and volunteer position you are interested in.  Police departments require that the letter be dated within the past 30 days of your application, so please check the date on the letter below.  It will be updated monthly throughout the summer and fall/beginning of season.

Once completed, please email your VSC to:
