For families new to our region in 2024, please reach out as soon as possible by emailing [email protected] with your player(s) name(s) and age(s) and your new address before you register online, and late fees will be waived.  We will need to complete a Transfer from your previous minor hockey association.

Please double-check your player's year of birth, to ensure you are registering for the correct level:
Player age levels are determined by the age your player will be on December 31, 2024.  Parents must provide a copy of their child's birth certificate for all new registrations.
Proof of residence may be requested. We are expected to have a copy of each player's birth certificate on file.  A copy can be e-mailed to Emily at [email protected]

(A)     Instructions For NEW Muskrat Minor Hockey Players:

(This includes players who previously played minor hockey for a different association and players who are brand new to minor hockey)

To register your player(s) for Muskrat Minor Hockey, you first need to use your e-mail address to create an account for your family on Hockey Canada's SPORDLE registration site.  No payment information is collected here.  This is strictly to register your player's name and date of birth with Hockey Canada and our local association, in one place.

1.  Click on the link below, and choose "Don't have an account?  Sign up!"
Then follow the prompts to enter the e-mail address you wish to use, and click "sign up".  You will then receive an e-mail with a verification code to proceed. Once you have entered the verification code sent to you by e-mail and chosen your password, you may visit the main page again and log in:

2. After logging in, you will be prompted to read and acknowledge Hockey Canada's terms and conditions, and then add each player in your family.  You will see "My Members" and choose "Link a Member" if your player has previously played with another association (it will search for your player, the "member" in the old HCR so you can add them).

3.  Once you have followed all of the prompts to add each player to your family account, you are now ready to register for THIS SEASON.
Click on the link below, select "Muskrat Minor Hockey", then "Register Now", and if you aren't still logged in, it will prompt you to log in.  You will then be prompted to register the players you just added to your family account.

Then, follow the instructions to pay by e-transfer further down this page.  Thank you!

At least one parent or guardian of a participant of each household of new registrant(s), must take the on-line Respect in Sport for Hockey Canada Parents.  Muskrat Minor Hockey does not cover the cost of this course.  The cost per family is $12.00 for one parent or guardian and the course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.  This online program can be found  HERE

If you previously completed this program for another sport (like Soccer), you will have the option of searching for and imputing your previously completed certificate.  One parent/guardian needs to complete the course once, which covers you for your whole family.  It does not need to be completed annually.

(B)     Instructions For RETURNING Muskrat Minor Hockey Players:

If you played with Muskrat Minor Hockey previously, then you already have a Hockey Canada Spordle account, and can register directly here:

After registering online, follow the instructions below to pay by e-transfer.

COMPETITIVE PLAYERS - Aces, Titans, District 5 Pilot:
If you are trying out for Titans, Aces, or the District 5 Rep Pilot (Pilot is for 2009, 2010, and 2011-born competitive players), you must register with us first, and please indicate so in your online Muskrat registration.  DO NOT PAY Muskrat MHA at this time.  We will advise you on how and who to pay once those teams are formed.  If you return to Muskrat MHA for placement on one of our teams, then you may send payment at that time.  We will honour our early bird rate if you register with us by July 15.

Again this year, we are accepting fee payment by e-transfer.  AFTER registering online, send payment to our NEW EMAIL ADDRESS [email protected] and use password hockey.  It is important to include your player(s) name(s) and level(s) in the message section of the e-transfer.

Please note:  Registration is not considered complete until fees are paid in full.  Full payment is due July 15 for the early-bird rate, or August 30 for the regular rate.  You are welcome to pay in two installments, as long as the full amount has been paid by the due date on your invoice.  If you need to make other payment arrangements to pay the balance this fall, please make a request to the e-mail address below.

If you have any questions regarding registration fees or difficulty registering, please email Emily Eckford, Registrar:  [email protected]
